This website is operated by The Gritty Therapist (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Throughout the site, “you” and “your” refer to the user/visitor/customer. We offer this website and all information, tools, courses, downloads, and services available from this site (collectively, the “Site”) to you conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, and policies stated here.

By visiting our Site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms apply to all users of the Site, including without limitation browsers, customers, and contributors of content. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Our website is hosted on Squarespace. Payments for products and services may be processed by Flodesk, Squarespace, or another third party.

1) Eligibility & Acceptable Use

  • You must be at least the age of majority in your state/country to use the Site or make purchases.

  • You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • You must not introduce malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use the Site to harass, abuse, or violate the rights of others.

2) Educational Content—No Therapy or Professional Advice

  • The Gritty Therapist is an educational platform. Content on the Site, podcast, blog, emails, courses, downloads, and social channels is for general educational and informational purposes only.

  • Not medical or mental health advice. Nothing on the Site establishes a therapist-client relationship with you. Our content is not diagnosis, treatment, or individualized advice.

  • Emergencies. If you are in crisis or considering self-harm, call 911 (or your local emergency number) or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

  • Always consult your own licensed professionals regarding your specific situation.

3) Purchases, Payments & Refunds

  • By purchasing, you agree to pay the listed price, taxes, and any applicable fees through our authorized processors. You represent that you are authorized to use your chosen payment method.

  • Digital products, downloads, and on-demand courses: Due to the nature of digital goods, all sales are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated on the specific product page.

  • Live workshops/cohorts/consulting: Refund and transfer policies (if any) will be stated on the checkout page or confirmation email for that offering and govern that transaction.

  • Prices and availability may change at any time without notice.

4) Account, Access & Course Terms

  • Some areas of the Site may require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activity under your account.

  • We may suspend or terminate access for suspected violations of these Terms or illegal or abusive conduct.

  • Course or membership access periods will be listed on the sales page; after that period, access may expire unless otherwise stated.

5) Intellectual Property & Limited License

  • The Site and all content (including text, graphics, logos, audio, podcast episodes, video, course materials, worksheets, and downloads) are owned by or licensed to The Gritty Therapist and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, share, resell, or publicly display our content without prior written permission.

  • You may not remove copyright/trademark notices or attempt to claim our content as your own.

  • If you submit comments, posts, questions, reviews, or materials (“Submissions”), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, copy, modify, publish, translate, and distribute such Submissions in any media.

  • You are solely responsible for your Submissions and agree they will not violate any third-party rights or contain unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or abusive material.

  • We may moderate, edit, or remove Submissions at our discretion but are not obligated to do so.

You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site.

17) Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, along with any policies linked from the Site (including our Privacy Policy and any product-specific terms), constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements and communications.
